I am guilty of listening to the Pen Addict podcast unironically. We probably have some overlap in boutique stationary subscriptions. You captured the good vibes of this niche in a way that I felt like I was watching one of your videos on YouTube. I would watch a whole series on YouTube of Becky's stationary. Also I have a brand connection in this space for my channel I can introduce you.
probably so! I have not listened to the Pen Addict podcast but I listen to the Goulet Pens one.
Thanks for the comment, Steven. I was just thinking this morning that I want to make videos again but wondering what topic would come natural and feel like a "light lift". Seems like stationery is a good in!
I’ve never used a fountain pen. The only thing I use a regular pen for is a handmade card every once in a while. And yet, I was so comforted by this piece and clicked on almost every link. Did that say $599 for a little thing of INK? What??
Anyway, I love how much you know about fountain pens. This was fun.
AHH thankss Charlie! I wondered how this post would feel because I went full on nerd but I'm glad you even went down the link rabbit holes! And prices for these things are ridiculous but mygosh they are all like works of art.
The paper really does make the experience! A scratchy nib can almost still glide on a smooth surface. I always feel so scholarly when I write with my fountain pens. Always a joyful experience even though I still sigh when it dries.

Full on nerd is always good to lean into! I'm still thinking about fountain pens and what it would feel like to write with one lol.
👀 if you ever know someone who has one... it feels so buttery smooth!
I lurrv my fountain pens. But I seem to use my Muji more often recently.
I found that you have to marry the right ink with the right paper. That is a journey
