Thanks Elle! I'm a big fan of your writing. I've been meaning to ask, too. I'm considering a subscription for your salons but I don't think the timing works since I'm in HK. But would you do some book companion guides, e.g. questions to ponder about the book or the discussion questions you use in your salons?

Love this idea, @becky. I just started doing DuoLingo. Do I give up my streak to read Babel? How do you think it will sound as an audiobook (for my long drives)?

Thanks Karena! Oh man, giving up a streak is a tall ask. But Babel is really worth reading, especially for us writers who love words!

As for audiobooks, it's always a hit-or-miss for me in terms of performance. I've seen some critiques on the editing https://www.reddit.com/r/audible/comments/xqs019/babel_audiobook/ but I feel like this wouldn't matter much if it's listened to in a car stereo system. The audible reviews seem to have left the editing critiques out https://www.audible.com/pd/Babel-Audiobook/B09MV8FMY2 so maybe it works after all!

The one thing that I don't know will translate well into audiobook is the extensive use of footnotes throughout the book. It's wonderful to read on a Kindle because the footnotes can be several paragraphs long.
