Man, this hits. I see it especially in lower income countries like the PH. The perspectives around money and tech are different, and I only wish that these tools could become more accessible to those who can do good things with it.

You said such great points about tech and access without coming from a privileged bias of being able to afford running experiments with it. Hopefully it opens doors for people who need it the most, as you said. It would require a play-mindset and self-belief to get there. Thanks again for inspiring me :)

This was a good read and something I’ve considered myself too. Part of me wonders if this opportunity (from a freelance perspective) is transient in that when the models improve enough, there will be no friction between natural language and ideal output and anyone from a kid to a grandma will essentially be able to immediately “one-shot” what they need. We’re far away from that now, and there is still enough of a learning curve/friction/requirement of persistence that outsourcing makes sense. But what about 20 years from now?

We will be rethinking SO MUCH of how we do things! I can’t imagine what things will look like in six months, let alone 20 years!
